COD Mobile Season 4 “Eternal Prison” Is Live: New Rebirth Island Update, DMZ Recon, Battle Pass, and Godzilla x Kong Content

Call of Duty: Mobile has entered one of its biggest updates of 2026 with the launch of Season 4, titled “Eternal Prison.” The new season officially went live on April 22, 2026, bringing a darker theme, fresh gameplay updates, new seasonal events, a refreshed Battle Pass, and a major Godzilla x Kong collaboration.

The biggest highlight of this update is the arrival of Rebirth Island in both Battle Royale and DMZ: Recon. For CODM players, this is a strong addition because Rebirth Island is known for fast action, tighter map design, and more aggressive survival gameplay. It gives mobile players a fresh reason to return, especially those who enjoy shorter, more intense matches.

Season 4 also expands DMZ: Recon, COD Mobile’s tactical extraction-style mode. The update introduces new features around exploration, combat, and survival, giving players more reasons to plan carefully before entering the map. This makes the season feel bigger than a normal cosmetic refresh because it adds real gameplay depth.

The Eternal Prison Battle Pass comes with new rewards, operators, weapons, blueprints, and themed items. As usual, free and premium players both get content, but the premium Battle Pass offers more exclusive unlocks for those who want the full seasonal experience. The Seasonal Store has also been updated with new items tied to the season’s prison-themed identity.

Another major talking point is the Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire content. The collaboration brings monster-themed cosmetics and store updates, including a new Mythic weapon. This crossover gives the season a blockbuster feel and will likely be one of the main reasons many players log back in.

Interestingly, COD Mobile is gaining more attention now because Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile is shutting down on April 17, 2026. While Warzone Mobile struggled to keep its mobile audience, COD Mobile remains active, regularly updated, and still popular among mobile-first players.

Overall, COD Mobile Season 4: Eternal Prison looks like a strong update. With Rebirth Island, DMZ: Recon improvements, fresh events, a new Battle Pass, and the Godzilla x Kong collaboration, Activision is clearly showing that COD Mobile still has serious life in 2026.
