Lois arrives at Belrose University with a future she can already picture. She has gained admission to a prestigious institution, and Max, her long-standing love, is there too.
Then the relationship unravels, and she finds herself at someone else’s door.
In Campus Drivers, Carmen Kassovitz plays Lois, whose heartbreak leads to an unexpected living arrangement with Lane, portrayed by Baptiste Masseline. Lane is popular, responsible for the Campus Drivers app and famously reluctant to commit. He also happens to be Max’s neighbour. Moving in together brings Lois and Lane into a closeness neither had planned.
The situation is awkward before romance even enters it. Lois has lost the relationship around which she imagined this new stage of her life. Lane’s appeal comes with an obvious complication: the person offering a fresh possibility has built a reputation around avoiding permanence.
That makes their attraction an interesting question of timing. After a breakup, attention can feel reassuring before trust has had time to develop. Living with someone also makes it harder to keep an idealised version of them intact. Proximity can encourage affection, but it does not automatically make two people ready for the same relationship.
For Flicklevel, Lois’s independence is the most promising part of the setup. Her university experience gives her the chance to discover ambitions and relationships that belong to her. A satisfying romance would allow that growth to matter as much as Lane’s response to her.
Lane presents the corresponding challenge. Someone who enjoys being desired may find genuine responsibility less comfortable. The question is whether the connection can develop beyond the charm that made it possible in the first place.
The French series adapts C.S. Quill’s novels and was created by Thomas Boullé. Producer Empreinte Digitale confirms the two leads and the November 6, 2026 Prime Video premiere. Amazon lists a six-episode season and a global launch.
At its most appealing, the premise offers the pleasure of watching two people discover that sharing an address is much simpler than deciding what they mean to each other.
