A song, a comedy sketch or a short film can reach people who would never attend a political discussion. Freedom Vibes is bringing those forms together for a day examining the responsibilities and pressures that come with a public voice.
Unchained Vibes Africa’s fourth Freedom Vibes Summit and tenth Freedom Vibes concert take place on Saturday, November 14, 2026, at Freedom Park in Lagos. Attendance is free, with advance registration required.
The announced programme connects artistic independence with Nigeria’s approaching 2027 elections. Discussions will address pressures on creators, harassment and the circulation of misleading information. The organisers describe the gathering as nonpartisan and prohibit party campaigning and political regalia.
There is a screen programme, too. The planned No Be War short-film premiere features Yemi Solade, Tunji Sotimirin and Sam Uche Anyamele. A related music video features MOOH, Tijay Webster and Dr Pure. The evening concert will include music, spoken word and satirical comedy. Its headline performer had not been named in the announcement checked on October 15.
For readers planning to attend, the two sessions have separate times and spaces:
| Session | Time, WAT | Venue |
|---|---|---|
| Freedom Vibes Summit | 9:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. | Kongi’s Harvest Gallery, Freedom Park |
| Freedom Vibes 10.0 Concert | 5–7 p.m. | Freedom Park Amphitheatre |
The official registration form lets participants choose in-person or virtual attendance and select the summit, concert or full day. Registration closes on November 11, or sooner if capacity is reached. Online summit participants will receive their Google Meet access details by email; a concert livestream is also planned.
Free admission does not mean unrestricted walk-in entry: the organiser says unregistered visitors will not be admitted. Complete the form before arranging your visit.
For a filmmaker, musician or skit maker, the useful question to bring is specific: what happens to your creative choices when money, public pressure or political attention enters the picture? The programme offers a place to discuss that question alongside people working in other forms of entertainment.
